‘25-‘26 Intramurals: Skill Enhancement through Sports
Intramurals give students the chance to show their skills in different sports, and one of these is chess. Chess tests not only strategy but also patience and focus. Players face each other with the goal of outsmarting their opponent through calculated moves. This game helps develop decision-making and critical thinking, which are useful even outside the board.

Another featured sport is sepak takraw, which requires speed, balance, and control. Played with a rattan ball, it challenges players to use their feet, head, and body to keep the ball in play. It is fast-paced and thrilling, giving both athletes and spectators an intense experience. This sport also highlights cultural identity since sepak takraw is popular in Southeast Asia.
The importance of intramurals in school goes beyond competition. It builds confidence among students and strengthens school spirit. It gives everyone the opportunity to participate, whether as a player, organizer, or supporter. More importantly, intramurals promote physical fitness, sportsmanship, and unity, which contribute to the overall growth of the students.
