The Philippines is famous for its lively festivals that show the culture, faith, and togetherness of its people. One special celebration can be found in the Heritage City of Vigan, Ilocos Sur. In support of the tourism slogan “It’s More Fun sa Pamayanan,” the Fiesta of the Conversion of St. Paul highlights not only religious beliefs but also the strong traditions and joyful spirit of the Ilocanos. The Fiesta of the Conversion of St. Paul, also known as the Longganisa Festival, is held in honor of St. Paul the Apostle, the patron saint of Vigan City. During this event, the city becomes full of life as various religious and cultural activities take place. These include church masses, processions, street parades, and cultural shows. Both residents and visitors come together to enjoy the celebration, filling the city with excitement and happiness.
